This was not just a hospital complex but the future of Turkey in the field of medicine.

The construction of Memorial Şişli Hospital, whose name became synonymous with trust and leadership, was completed in approximately three years. Equipped with the most advanced technology of its time, which an international medical institution should possess, Memorial Şişli Hospital welcomed its first patient in February 2000.

Just two years after its opening, Memorial Şişli Hospital received the JCI (Joint Commission International) Accreditation Certificate, becoming the first in Turkey and the 21st in the world to be awarded this certificate, which represents the global standard for quality healthcare services.

Occupying a closed area of 53,000 m², Memorial Şişli Hospital has a 252-bed capacity. Areas of Expertise

Due to the high success rates after the procedures (up to 65%), the center is popular among most foreign patients. The following procedures are available:

classical IVF
ICSI – 95% success rate. Doctors perform this procedure mainly for male infertility, if the man’s sperm are low-motility. During ICSI, the reproductive specialist selects the most active sperm and injects it into the egg with a special thin needle.
IMSI – fertilization by micro-injection. The procedure is similar to ICSI, the only difference is that the doctor uses a more powerful microscope.

Dear Sir/Madam, this is a complaint. On February 7, 2026, we visited your Şişli branch on a recommendation, but returned empty-handed and with financial losses. We drove around the hospital parking lot for 20 minutes before finally parking our car. It took us 10 minutes to reach the relevant department via elevator. The receptionist asked if we had private health insurance for the examination; we stated we were covered by SGK (Social Security Institution). We paid the 8,000 TL examination fee. Instead of an examination, we listened to lectures like lecturers at a political science faculty, and then returned to the reception to get our prescription. We received our prescription, paid the parking fee, and returned home! While picking up our medication from our local pharmacy, we learned that the hospital does not have an agreement with SGK and that we would have to pay for the medication ourselves. 1- Why wasn't the information that we didn't have an agreement with SGK given to us despite stating we were covered by SGK? Why did the pharmacy provide this information? 2- In total, 15 minutes of examination time was wasted at the hospital. Why did we pay for parking, considering the time we wasted searching for a parking space and going up the elevator? 3- Despite reporting our complaints to your hospital, why was there no results-oriented feedback after speaking with customer service a couple of times? Conclusion I would like to inform you that I will be making an official notification to the Provincial Health Directorate regarding the invoice and will be following up on it. Translated fromTurkish

Describing Dr. Süeda İş is truly special and precious to me; words cannot adequately express my feelings for her. The loving bond she formed with my daughter from day one incredibly reassured me as a mother. She was the only doctor who recognized her most serious illnesses. She wasn't just a doctor; she was also someone who approached my child with compassion, understood her, and truly cared for her. One night, after a sudden illness, she checked the hospital and took care of everything the next day and throughout our stay, meticulously monitoring all her vital signs. During the two episodes of beta-hemolytic streptococcal infections we experienced, her approach was so solution-oriented that my daughter recovered very quickly thanks to her treatments and care. I felt that she treated her like her own child. The anxiety I saw in her during her illness, and the happiness I saw in her eyes when she was healthy, was the greatest reassurance she could give me as a mother. The way she answered my questions without me even having to express what I was thinking, is truly a rare find. With dozens of patients, her cheerful demeanor, her experience, of course, but even more valuable is her wonderful, kind heart. I'm so glad we met her, so glad she touched our lives. She is my most precious person, someone I can trust implicitly and entrust everything to. I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Süeda to all mothers. By the way, I would like to especially thank Memorial Şişli Hospital's entire Pediatrics department, Seda Günhar, Ms. Nursena, Reşat Gürpınar, the nurses, the reception staff – everyone cared for my daughter, their efforts were invaluable. We had examinations in every department during the beta phase, including Radiology (Dr. Ufuk), the cardiologist, and the ENT department. As a visiting foreigner from the USA, I cannot state how well I was received and cared for at this hospital. I fell and broke my elbow. Upon arrival at the hospital, an interpreter was assigned to me and assisted me throughput the process of seeing an orthopedic surgeon, having an xray, CATSCAN, another consultation and a casting of my arm. I was able to get equal care to that of the USA without the bureaucracy. I was in and out of the emergency care in three hours at a total cost of $1,638 USD. I was given a copy of the CATSCAN and a few days later my interpreter sent my official written report by text. Now, almost two weeks later the interpreter arranged my follow up visit and the hospital will pay for my return transportation. Comparitively speaking, I have never had this type of consciousness care in the USA for an emergent situation, especially the follow through care! Thank you Abdulhamid, my wonderful interpreter who also is a medical worker on their oncology unit. I was blessed to be under his care and guidance.
