The construction of Memorial Şişli Hospital, whose name became synonymous with trust and leadership, was completed in approximately three years. Equipped with the most advanced technology of its time, which an international medical institution should possess, Memorial Şişli Hospital welcomed its first patient in February 2000.

Areas of Expertise

Due to the high success rates after the procedures (up to 65%), the center is popular among most foreign patients. The following procedures are available:

classical IVF
ICSI – 95% success rate. Doctors perform this procedure mainly for male infertility, if the man’s sperm are low-motility. During ICSI, the reproductive specialist selects the most active sperm and injects it into the egg with a special thin needle.
IMSI – fertilization by micro-injection. The procedure is similar to ICSI, the only difference is that the doctor uses a more powerful microscope.

My mother received treatment in the oncology department of this hospital for 8 months. Believe me, we would have received better care and attention if we had gone to a state hospital. On January 27, 2026, I underwent abdominoplasty surgery at this clinic and I am very dissatisfied with the staff. It was utter chaos. They don't know how to properly prepare a patient for surgery.

Before the procedure, a nurse came to insert an IV line. He hadn't washed or disinfected his hands, and his clothes smelled of cigarettes. His hands were shaking, and he couldn't insert the IV line properly. The entire IV line was covered in blood 🥶 Then he wiped it off with a regular tissue dampened with water, didn't disinfect anything, and left.

When I was taken to the operating room, it was utter chaos. Everyone was running around and rushing. I felt like I was being cared for by interns. They forgot to give me the anesthesia consent form to sign, and I had to wait about 15 minutes outside the operating room for them to bring the consent form for general anesthesia. 🫣

After signing the consent form, the nurse tried to administer the medication intravenously, but it didn't work because the IV line was incorrectly and unprofessionally inserted. She pushed the medication from the syringe with all her force, but nothing flowed. 🥲

After arriving in the operating room, the nurse noticed the IV line was incorrectly inserted. She removed it and tried to insert a new one on the back of my hand. She poked me several times until she pushed the needle so deep that it felt like it touched bone. 🥲 The pain was like someone had stabbed me with a dull knife in my rib. I instinctively jerked my hand away. It was terrifying 🥲

When I turned my head to the right, another nurse was standing next to me, professionally inserting the IV in a matter of seconds. ☺️ I got the impression that interns had tried this before, and when they failed, a professional had to save the day 🥶🥶🥶

After the surgery, when I woke up, I was taken to a room. The nurse unprofessionally connected the IV—the solution wasn't dripping, it was pouring into my hand. My hand started burning and numb. I couldn't take it anymore, I started crying and screaming. Only then did the nurse look at the IV and reduce the flow so the fluid dripped instead of pouring. It was truly terrifying.

Basically, the nurse was minding her own business instead of caring for me, even though I'd paid a lot of money for this service. Until the morning, I had to monitor every drip myself, because when the fluid ran out, the nurse wouldn't arrive for about 15 minutes. So I had to turn off the drips myself to keep air from getting into my veins.
