1. Purpose and scope
This policy explains how Globalmedik selects and describes clinics and clinicians, produces the 1–5 Globalmedik Rating, orders results, identifies sponsored placement and handles corrections. It applies to provider profiles, comparison pages, search results, recommendation tools and similar content controlled by Globalmedik.
Globalmedik is a brand and information and coordination platform operated by CTK Global Sağlık Turizmi ve Danışmanlık Hizmetleri Limited Şirketi (the “Operator”). Globalmedik is not a clinic. Each listed clinic or clinician (a “Medical Provider”) is independent and remains responsible for its licences, staff, diagnosis, informed consent, treatment and clinical outcomes. A listing or score does not transfer that responsibility to Globalmedik. See Terms of Use and Services.
2. Four different concepts
A “Listing” is a factual profile. It may include identity, location, contact details, recognised specialties, relevant facilities, languages, health-tourism status and a link to an official source.
The “Globalmedik Rating” is Globalmedik’s 1–5 assessment of the strength and completeness of documented evidence against the factors in section 4. A higher number reflects stronger documented alignment at the review date. It is not a medical-quality grade, government accreditation, safety certification, patient rating or prediction of outcome.
A “Patient Rating” is derived only from eligible user ratings under the method disclosed where the score appears. It is shown separately and must not be relabelled as the Globalmedik Rating. See Patient Reviews & Comments Policy.
A “Sponsored Placement” is prominence influenced by payment or another commercial benefit. It is conspicuously labelled “Sponsored” or an equally clear term and kept distinct from organic order and both ratings.
3. Eligibility and source checks
Before publishing a material provider claim, Globalmedik checks a current official or primary source appropriate to that claim. Checks may cover legal identity; healthcare or health-tourism authorisation; licensed specialties; named clinician credentials; service location; relevant third-party accreditation; and the provider’s official website. Provider-supplied information is identified as such where a reader might otherwise understand it to be independently verified.
A claim is published only to the level the evidence supports. Expired, unclear or conflicting evidence is not converted into a positive claim. If a licence, specialty, accreditation or authorisation cannot be confirmed, Globalmedik omits the claim, marks the evidence limitation clearly or withholds the listing. Each profile should show the source or source category and the date of the last material check. A contractual relationship with the Operator is disclosed when material to the reader’s choice.
The Operator’s TÜRSAB agency record is no. 14691 and can be checked through TÜRSAB Agency Search. This is a travel-agency record. It is not a Turkish Ministry of Health certificate, a Medical Provider licence or evidence of clinical quality. Any separate international health-tourism authorisation must be checked against the relevant current official record, including the HealthTürkiye authorised agency directory where applicable.
4. Globalmedik Rating factors
The Globalmedik Rating uses documented, service-relevant information available at the assessment date. Depending on the provider and specialty, relevant factors may include:
- current regulatory and health-tourism status;
- evidence that the claimed specialty and clinician credentials match the service;
- documented scope of services and relevant facilities;
- quality, safety or accreditation evidence from an identifiable source;
- transparency of provider identity, treatment responsibility, limitations and patient information;
- international-patient support, language access and continuity arrangements;
- responsiveness to evidence requests, corrections and material complaints; and
- freshness, completeness and consistency of the evidence.
Factors are assessed together. Globalmedik does not state or imply percentage weights unless a live, documented calculation actually uses and displays them. Payment, referral value, commission and advertising spend are never rating factors. Patient testimonials, popularity and isolated outcomes do not establish clinical quality. Outcome statistics are used only if their source, population, definition, period and limitations make a fair comparison possible.
Where evidence is too limited for a responsible score, the profile is marked “Not rated” rather than assigned a guessed value. Missing information lowers confidence; it is not proof of poor care. The rating date and material methodology changes must be visible or linked from the score.
5. Ranking and filters
Organic order is designed to help a user find relevant, supportable information. Main parameters may include specialty relevance to the query, location and language fit, current provider information, evidence completeness and freshness, the Globalmedik Rating, and user-selected filters. Globalmedik discloses the main parameters and their relative importance near the results where consumer law requires it. No provider can buy an improvement in its organic rating or organic position.
Sponsored Placement may appear only in a separately labelled area or with a clear label on each affected result. Payment must not be disguised as relevance, popularity, clinical superiority or editorial endorsement. Sponsorship does not change the Globalmedik Rating or Patient Rating. Links created because of payment are technically qualified as sponsored links in accordance with Google’s outbound-link guidance.
6. Neutrality and health-promotion safeguards
Listings and order must not use “best,” “safest,” guaranteed-result or similar superiority language without lawful, objective and directly relevant substantiation. Globalmedik does not promise that the first result is the best Medical Provider for an individual.
For services in Türkiye, publication must stay within the rules for international health-tourism intermediaries and healthcare promotion. Domestic-facing content must not directly or indirectly steer a patient, use rankings as disguised healthcare advertising, exploit medical vulnerability or imply services beyond a provider’s authorised scope. Foreign-language or international targeting does not by itself remove these restrictions. Globalmedik may suppress a score, comparison, filter, sponsored result or entire listing in a channel or jurisdiction where its display could be unlawful or materially misleading.
Editorial and commercial controls are described in Editorial Policy. Personal-data handling is described in Privacy Notice.
7. Corrections, review and delisting
A Medical Provider or user may report an error through the contact channel published on the Globalmedik website and should identify the disputed statement and supporting source. Globalmedik records the request, checks it against current evidence and corrects material errors without requiring the provider to purchase a service. A provider may supply evidence and a response but cannot veto accurate criticism or control its score.
A listing may be restricted, marked under review, suspended or removed for expired or lost authorisation, material misrepresentation, impersonation, unresolved evidence gaps, patient-safety concerns, unlawful promotion, manipulation of ratings or reviews, refusal to correct a material inaccuracy, or a binding authority or court request. Urgent restrictions may be applied before the review is complete. The provider may appeal with new evidence; the decision and reason are documented, and the listing is restored or corrected when the evidence supports that result.
8. User decision and reference points
A rating or position is one information input, not medical advice or a guarantee of eligibility, availability, price, safety or result. Users should verify the Medical Provider’s current status, obtain an individual clinical assessment, understand alternatives and risks, and review booking-specific terms before deciding.
