1. Purpose and scope
This Policy explains payments for services arranged through Globalmedik. A quotation, payment page, booking confirmation or other booking-specific terms will govern each booking. This Policy creates no charge unless one is agreed. Mandatory consumer rights prevail over inconsistent terms.
Globalmedik is the brand and platform operated by CTK Global Sağlık Turizmi ve Danışmanlık Hizmetleri Limited Şirketi (“Globalmedik”, “we”, “us”):
Erenköy Mah. Ethem Efendi Cad. No: 83/3, Kadıköy, İstanbul, Türkiye
Email: manager@globalmedik.com
Travel agency record:
TÜRSAB No. 14691. Records may be checked through TÜRSAB agency search.
Public information on international health-tourism agencies is available through HealthTürkiye.
Globalmedik facilitates international health tourism and related non-medical services. A “Medical Provider” is an independent clinic, hospital, doctor or other healthcare professional responsible for examination, diagnosis, informed consent, treatment, clinical decisions and outcomes.
2. When a payment may be requested
General information or coordination may be free. Payment to Globalmedik is due only under booking-specific terms accepted for a paid Globalmedik service, non-medical package or authorised collection. Medical services may instead be payable directly to the Medical Provider.
Before the patient is bound to pay, the booking information will identify, as applicable:
- the legal recipient and Globalmedik’s role as supplier, agent or collector;
- the service, reservation or package covered;
- the full known price, including Globalmedik charges and applicable taxes, or its calculation method where it cannot reasonably be fixed in advance;
- the currency, payment method, deposit amount and purpose;
- whether the deposit is credited to a later balance, and the balance recipient and due date;
- material third-party costs and any cancellation or refund restriction;
- cancellation, rescheduling and refund rules; and
- the Medical Provider or other supplier concerned.
Booking-specific terms supplement this Policy and will be retainable where law requires. They cannot reduce mandatory rights. Globalmedik will not impose a less favourable rule on a completed payment unless the patient agrees or law permits or requires it.
3. Types of payment and recipient responsibility
A Medical Provider payment covers clinical services and is ordinarily paid to that provider under its treatment agreement. The provider sets the clinical price, issues required medical payment documents and returns amounts paid directly to it when due. Globalmedik may communicate instructions or assist with a request, without assuming responsibility for the provider’s account.
A paid Globalmedik service may cover agreed non-medical coordination, interpretation, transfer, accommodation arrangement, concierge assistance or another identified service. A Globalmedik package may combine agreed non-medical or travel services. Its price and inclusions must be disclosed before acceptance.
Where permitted, Globalmedik may collect money for another identified supplier. The booking record must state the recipient, purpose and payment credit. Collection does not make Globalmedik the Medical Provider or remove mandatory intermediary or collector responsibilities.
No undisclosed fee will be added. A commercial payment from a Medical Provider to Globalmedik is not a patient charge unless the patient is liable for an amount disclosed before payment.
4. Indicative prices, treatment changes and deposits
Prices based on records, photographs, remote communications or a preliminary treatment proposal may be indicative. The Medical Provider may revise treatment and price after examination, testing or review of medical complexity, materials, medication, anaesthesia, hospital stay or other relevant facts.
Before accepting a material change, the patient should receive the revised treatment and price, the reason, and material additions or removals. A deposit does not oblige the patient to accept a different or additional procedure. No non-emergency paid service is accepted merely because another service was purchased.
A reservation deposit may secure an appointment, procedure date, provider capacity, accommodation, transfer or package commitment. Its recipient, purpose, amount, crediting and refund conditions must be clear before payment. It does not guarantee medical suitability, uninterrupted availability or a clinical outcome.
A booking is confirmed only when disclosed conditions are met and confirmation is communicated. A card authorisation or transfer alone may not confirm medical acceptance. Any balance notice should state its amount, currency, recipient and due date. Non-payment may lead to cancellation only under disclosed, fair terms and mandatory law.
Prices may be stated in TRY, EUR, USD, GBP or another specified currency. A bank or payment provider may apply its own exchange rate or transaction charge. Patients should use verified corporate or Medical Provider instructions and check account details before transferring funds.
5. Patient cancellation, rescheduling and no-show
A patient may request cancellation before a scheduled service. The result depends on the supplier, service, timing, work performed, reserved resources, actual third-party costs, booking-specific terms and mandatory law. A blanket “non-refundable” label will not displace statutory or package-travel rights.
Globalmedik will try to coordinate a requested new date where reasonably available. A change may create a price difference or actual supplier cost, which must be explained before confirmation. Rescheduling should not automatically be treated as cancellation where the service can reasonably be moved without material loss or law requires otherwise.
A no-show may lead to proportionate retention only where the condition was disclosed, resources were genuinely reserved or costs incurred, and retention is lawful. Sums that mandatory law requires to be returned cannot be retained.
Patients remain responsible for passports, visas and entry requirements unless an agreed paid service states otherwise. Visa refusal or an event outside the parties’ reasonable control has no single automatic result: affected contracts, recoverable costs, package rules and mandatory remedies must be assessed.
6. Medical unsuitability and supplier cancellation
A Medical Provider may find treatment unsuitable, require diagnostics, change it or decide it should not proceed. The patient must not be charged for an unperformed procedure merely because it appeared in a preliminary plan. A refund may account for services actually and lawfully supplied and permitted, previously disclosed third-party costs.
If the Medical Provider cancels or postpones, Globalmedik may help seek a new date, alternative provider or refund. The patient need not accept an alternative. A provider paid directly is ordinarily responsible for the amount it owes, without limiting any mandatory Globalmedik duty.
If Globalmedik cancels its own unperformed paid service without patient fault, it will provide the refund or alternative remedy required by the booking terms and law. It will not retain the price merely as a penalty.
7. Distance contracts and travel packages
Different rules may govern healthcare, coordination, accommodation, passenger transport and packages. A statutory withdrawal right may apply to some distance contracts and may be excluded or modified for others. Where applicable, the patient will receive required pre-contract information and an exercise method.
If the patient asks an eligible paid service to begin during a withdrawal period, Globalmedik will obtain any separately required request or consent. Proportionate payment for work performed, or loss of a withdrawal right after full performance, applies only where legal conditions are met. Accepting website terms or a privacy notice alone is not such a request.
If a combination legally qualifies as package travel, mandatory rules apply regardless of its marketing name. Booking documents will identify the organiser and required protections where applicable. Official reference points include Turkish consumer legislation, Turkish distance-contract guidance, Turkish package-tour guidance, the EU Consumer Rights Directive and the EU Package Travel Directive.
8. Refund calculation and method
A refund starts with the amount received. Deductions may cover only services actually and lawfully performed and lawful, proportionate, previously disclosed cancellation or third-party costs. A supplier refund received by Globalmedik will not remain an unrecoverable third-party cost. Material deductions will be explained where required.
Refunds will be processed without undue delay and within mandatory deadlines. They will normally use the original payment method where required and possible; another method may be used with the patient’s agreement or if the original method cannot receive funds. Globalmedik will not charge merely to make a legally required refund.
Bank or provider exchange rates and fees may cause the converted home-currency amount to differ. Globalmedik will not intentionally retain an exchange-rate gain owed to the patient.
9. Errors, chargebacks and complaints
Patients should promptly report a duplicate, incorrect or unauthorised charge, missing refund or misapplied deposit. Globalmedik will investigate transactions within its control and coordinate with the relevant provider where appropriate.
Nothing removes lawful rights to contact a bank, card issuer, payment provider, consumer authority, dispute-resolution body or court. A lawful chargeback or complaint is not itself a breach. Knowingly false or fraudulent disputes may be contested using lawful evidence.
Requests may be sent to manager@globalmedik.com with the patient’s name, booking reference, recipient, payment date, amount, currency, transaction reference and reason. Do not send full card credentials. Globalmedik may request only information reasonably needed to investigate. Personal and payment data are handled under Privacy Notice.
10. Related terms, applicable rights and updates
The service boundary, liability framework, complaints route and governing-law provisions are in Terms of Use and Services. Mandatory Turkish protections and any non-waivable rights applicable to a consumer in the European Economic Area or another jurisdiction remain unaffected.
This Policy may be updated for changes in law, services or payment arrangements. A later version will not retrospectively remove rights attached to an earlier payment.
