1. Purpose and scope
This policy explains how Globalmedik collects, verifies, labels, publishes, moderates and removes patient reviews, ratings and comments. It covers review features controlled by Globalmedik and text reviews lawfully reproduced from another source.
Globalmedik is a brand and information and coordination platform operated by CTK Global Sağlık Turizmi ve Danışmanlık Hizmetleri Limited Şirketi (the “Operator”), not a clinic. Each reviewed clinic or clinician (a “Medical Provider”) remains responsible for diagnosis, informed consent, treatment and clinical outcomes. See Terms of Use and Services.
A review describes one person’s experience. It is not medical evidence, advice or a promise that another person will have the same result.
2. Review types and labels
Globalmedik uses clear source and verification labels:
- “Verified by Globalmedik” means Globalmedik obtained reasonable evidence that the reviewer used the relevant Globalmedik service or attended the relevant Medical Provider. It does not mean every statement, medical conclusion or outcome was verified.
- “Third-party source — verification described by source” means the named source and original date are shown and that source describes an adequate service-use check. Globalmedik states whether it performed any additional check.
- “Unverified” means service use could not be established. Such material is not presented as a verified consumer review or included in a Patient Rating. Where Turkish or EU consumer rules prohibit publication without verification, it is not published in the review feed.
A Globalmedik Rating is Globalmedik’s separate assessment of documented provider information. A Patient Rating comes only from eligible patient ratings under the calculation and review period disclosed where it appears. The scores are not renamed or visually blended. See Clinic Listing & Ranking Policy.
3. Neutral collection
Review invitations must be neutral and must not target only people believed to be satisfied. Where practicable, the same invitation rules apply to all eligible users in a defined service cohort. A Medical Provider may invite genuine patients through the standard process but may not pre-screen, dictate or submit responses.
Globalmedik prohibits payment, discounts, gifts, treatment advantages, pressure or retaliation for a review or score. Employees, contractors, providers, competitors and their agents must disclose relevant relationships; a misleading conflicted review is rejected. Duplicate accounts, coordinated submissions, purchased reviews and impersonation are prohibited.
Submitting text gives Globalmedik limited, non-exclusive permission to display, translate for the intended audience, format and moderate it within the review service. It does not permit use as an advertisement, paid campaign, provider endorsement or patient story.
4. Verification and third-party material
Globalmedik uses proportionate evidence such as a booking reference, service record or appointment confirmation. Only the minimum verification information is retained, it is not shown publicly, and access is controlled under Privacy Notice.
A third-party review may be reproduced only when Globalmedik has a lawful right to use it, identifies the original source and date, and has reliable information about service-use verification. The source label and original link remain visible. A statement on an open blog, social network, Google profile or similar channel is not republished merely because it is public. If use cannot be verified, Globalmedik may link to the independent source without copying the text, subject to applicable rules.
Globalmedik does not invent, purchase, commission, selectively import or materially rewrite reviews. Translations are labelled and preserve tone and meaning. Material omissions, including omission of a negative qualification, are prohibited.
5. Publication and moderation
Positive and negative reviews follow the same rules. A review is not removed or deprioritised merely because it is critical, lowers a score or is commercially inconvenient. Order and filters must not create a false impression of sentiment. Any permitted incentive, relationship or unusual sampling method is disclosed; a prohibited incentive is not cured by disclosure.
Globalmedik may reject, redact, restrict or remove content that:
- exposes health data, contact details or another person’s identity without a valid basis;
- contains threats, harassment, hate, sexual exploitation, spam, malware or unlawful material;
- is fabricated, impersonates someone or manipulates ratings;
- infringes intellectual property, confidentiality or a binding restriction;
- makes a serious factual accusation without sufficient first-hand context or support;
- promotes unproven treatment, gives dangerous instructions, discourages necessary care, or presents an individual outcome as a general medical fact; or
- is unrelated to the service or mainly advertising.
We distinguish an honestly described experience from a universal medical claim. Globalmedik may request revision, add neutral safety context or remove an unsafe passage without changing the reviewer’s opinion; any editorial redaction is indicated. We do not decide publicly which disputed diagnosis or treatment was clinically correct.
6. Provider responses and comments
A Medical Provider may submit one attributable response through a verified account. It may correct a specific fact, explain a general process or offer a complaint channel. It must not reveal or confirm health information, retaliate, diagnose publicly, pressure the reviewer, promote services or misrepresent a dispute. Responses follow the same moderation rules and do not replace clinical follow-up.
If comments are enabled, they follow this policy and are not an unmoderated medical forum. Interaction is disabled wherever health-promotion rules require comments, likes or resharing to be closed, including regulated visual health content.
7. Reports, disputes and appeals
Anyone may report content through the contact channel published on the Globalmedik website, identifying the content, reason and available evidence. Globalmedik assesses sufficiently specific notices and may temporarily hide content where there is a credible privacy, safety, illegality or impersonation risk.
A provider’s disagreement alone does not justify removal. During an unresolved material factual dispute, Globalmedik may retain a lawful and safe review with a neutral “Disputed” notice. The parties may be asked for proportionate evidence; medical records are not published and should not be requested when less sensitive evidence is sufficient.
Globalmedik gives the affected party a concise reason for a material restriction unless this would be unlawful or unsafe. An appeal may provide new evidence and is reviewed by a different person where practicable. The outcome may be restoration, correction, relabelling, redaction, restriction or removal. Decisions and material evidence are recorded for an appropriate period. Binding court or authority orders are followed. Handling is adapted where the EU Digital Services Act applies.
8. Health-promotion safeguards
Reviews must not become disguised healthcare advertising. Globalmedik does not cherry-pick praise for banners, landing-page claims, paid ads, retargeting or provider campaigns. A review is not evidence that a provider or treatment is “best”, “safe”, “guaranteed” or clinically superior.
Turkish rules restrict promotional use of patient thanks, satisfaction statements and health-service imagery. A limited rule available to a Medical Provider on a properly foreign-targeted health-tourism channel must not be assumed to authorise republication by Globalmedik as an intermediary. Globalmedik publishes, limits or disables reviews by audience, language and channel only after confirming a lawful basis. Content directed to people in Türkiye must not use reviews to generate demand or steer patients to a provider.
9. Images, privacy and reuse
This process does not accept treatment before-and-after images, procedure footage or other patient imagery for publication. General consent to submit a review never authorises such images, advertising, social-media campaigns or other promotional reuse. Any proposed patient image, story or promotional reuse requires separate, specific, freely given and withdrawable permission, independent legal and privacy assessment, and required provider controls; consent does not make a prohibited use lawful.
Reviewers should avoid names, diagnoses, record numbers, travel-document data and unnecessary personal or health information. Globalmedik may use a display name or pseudonym and redact identifying details.
10. Search and legal reference points
This policy takes account of the Turkish Health Services Promotion and Information Activities Regulation, the Turkish Commercial Advertising and Unfair Commercial Practices Regulation and the EU Unfair Commercial Practices Directive. These references do not constitute legal or clinical approval.
