Areas of Expertise

A dental implant is made of titanium and is placed inside the jawbone to replace a missing tooth. It is very strong, and once healing is complete, it cannot be removed from the bone. An implant requires about 3 months to heal after placement, and during this period, a crown cannot be installed on the implant.

Advantages:

Long-term prognosis: Since the implant replaces the tooth root, the bone level is preserved, and the result lasts longer compared to a dental bridge.
More conservative solution: Adjacent teeth are not affected, so healthy teeth remain untouched.

Disadvantages:

Higher cost: Implant treatment requires two visits. For international patients, this means considering two flights and accommodation costs.
Two-visit treatment: Some patients find it inconvenient to travel twice due to work commitments or financial reasons.

A Hollywood smile usually consists of 20, 24, or 28 teeth. The exact number depends on the treatment plan, the patient’s smile, and personal preferences.
If a patient has a wide smile, we usually prefer 24 or 28 teeth (12 or 14 teeth per jaw). The most common treatment plan includes 24 teeth.

This procedure is performed after tooth preparation. Tooth preparation, also known as tooth shaving, involves removing approximately 0.5 mm of enamel to create space for the crown to fit properly on the tooth. If this step is not done and the crown is placed directly on the tooth, the teeth may appear bulky or protruded.

The materials used for the crowns are zirconia or Emax.
Crowns can improve and change the alignment, shape, bite, color, and size of the teeth.

We focus on the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of gum disease and the structures that support the teeth. We treat conditions such as gingivitis, periodontitis, and bone loss, aiming to maintain or restore oral health. A periodontist specializes in treating serious gum problems and often performs procedures such as scaling, root planing, and bone grafting.

DentSpa did an excellent job. I traveled from the US to Turkey to get all-on-four and all-on-six implants. Upon my arrival, someone was waiting at the airport to pick me up and take me to the Holiday Inn hotel in Sisli. The accommodations were very nice, and everyone was incredibly kind in Turkey. The next morning, I had a clinic appointment where they took X-rays and scans. I met with the dentist and dental surgeon to discuss my ultimate treatment plan. After reviewing my options, we agreed on payment terms, which were much higher than the original estimate. I was a bit surprised by this, but I’ve told DentSpa to work on improving their pricing. I believe they’ll make improvements in the future. My best advice is to plan on saving and spending 30% to 40% more than the quoted price. This is because you may want better materials or require unexpected treatments to achieve the desired look and feel. Additionally, the planning department needs some extra training, which I’ve shared with DentSpa management, and they’re working to improve it. The only negative aspect of my trip was the incorrect amount of days they provided for planning my flights. When I arrived, I was informed that my flight needed to be changed. Fortunately, I was able to get it changed, and everything worked out. Regarding anesthesia options for implants or invasive dental surgery, DentSpa offers several choices. The first option is novacane or numbing, the second is twilight anesthesia, which is administered through an IV in the clinic and you will be somewhat conscious but not fully awake mostly drowsy. The third option is general anesthesia, which requires hospitalization and a medical clearance in Turkey prior to surgery day. I chose twilight anesthesia, and I highly recommend it for anyone undergoing major dental surgery. It eliminates the need for general anesthesia and worked wonderfully for me because I don’t remember any of it. The twilight anesthesia was definitely worth every penny. The anesthesiologist and nurse were incredibly kind and comforting throughout the procedure. The surgeon and dentist both did an exceptional job. The dentist is very compassionate and takes the time to explain everything to you. My best advice is to ask lots of questions and make sure you understand everything. If you don’t understand something, don’t hesitate to ask again; they’re happy to help. I still have a final visit to get my permanent implants, but I’m confident that the second trip will be much smoother since I’ve already had the experience and know what to expect. In conclusion, I would recommend DentSpa to anyone who needs dental implants or any type of cosmetic dentistry. Just make sure you ask questions and that you fully understand everything so that you’re more confident and comfortable. Everything went very well during my experience. The doctor was very understanding, attentive, and professional, which put me at ease from the start. Not speaking English or Turkish, I had some concerns, but the translator was a great help and perfectly fulfilled her role by facilitating communication at every stage. I had a really disappointing experience with Dent spa Istanbul following my Hollywood Smile procedure (full crowns replacement). The problem started on day one I've spent 7 hours in the office waiting for my timed appointment. There's a certainly plenty of Entourage (random not related to medicine people) but not enough doctors. I was promised teeth/ mouth rendering, modeling , and treatment plan discussion with the doctor- which wasn't done instead I had a treatment discussion with a college student literature history major. My entire prep work was done in 4 hours - quite short for mistakes margin. And mistakes were made, gaps in several places forming between my gums and the crowns This is not just a cosmetic issue—it’s uncomfortable and concerning from a dental health perspective. (Potential Infection). My teeth were prepped with supragingival margins (above the gum line), which can compromise the seal and emergence profile, likely contributing to the visible gaps between the crowns and gum tissue. On top of that, everything was rushed and pushed into the final day, leaving me with no real opportunity to properly assess the results or raise concerns before I had to leave. Another major issue is aftercare. Because I live in a different country, it’s extremely difficult to get proper follow-up or corrections, which makes this situation even more frustrating. Overall, I regret choosing this clinic. The lack of quality control and difficulty of aftercare has left me with need of corrective work elsewhere. I would strongly advise others to think carefuly.

I had a fantastic experience at DentSpa. I’m a unique case because I had the beginnings of a root canal treatment in Vietnam and needed to have it finished somewhere else. My husband and I are permanent world travelers, so it took two locations to finish. I’m so happy that I found DentSpa to finish the procedure. They were awesome, especially Abdul. After intensive research, I decided to go with DentSpa based in Istanbul. they definitely are global standard with the highest spec technology. I have never seen a clinic as clean and beautiful. They are definitely not the cheapest but if you are after quality I would highly recommend. my experience with them from start to finish has been very positive. I have never loved smiling and laughing as much as I do now. I loved how personalised the process was with so much care and attention.. all staff members are so professional, friendly and helpful. You definitely get the best treatment because all of their dentist are a specialist so if you are having a crown you will meet the specialist for the crown. If you’re having implants you will me a different specialist surgeon. It was great having multiple professionals working on my teeth because I know they were the most experienced and qualified. Highly recommend definitely 5 stars from me just want to mention a special thank you to Khaoula and Dr ELIF for making my experience that much more special and I am really satisfied with my result’s highly recommend if you are looking to get some treatment done

I recently traveled to DentSpa Istanbul for dental treatment (arrived Monday 4/20), and overall, this was a very strong 4.5 - star experience. From the beginning, logistics were smooth. I had prompt airport pickup, transportation to my hotel, and later that same day, a ride to the clinic. Everything felt organized and well-coordinated. The clinic itself is extremely clean and well-maintained—honestly impressive. Staff are constantly cleaning, and the environment feels high-end. The hospitality also stands out. The café team regularly checks on you with drinks and snacks, which adds a level of comfort you will not get in the U.S. A major highlight of my experience was my guest specialist, Mounaim B. He explained the entire process clearly and stayed engaged throughout my treatment. He made sure I was comfortable and understood everything happening. If you’re able to request him, I highly recommend it—he truly elevates the experience. The doctors were also excellent: * Mehmet K. – Very knowledgeable, patient, and communicative. He walks you through everything and makes you feel at ease. * Nelli A. – Gentle, professional, and thorough. She made sure I understood each step and answered all questions. All of the doctors also ensured I had proper aftercare—providing painkillers and mouthwash to take back to my hotel, which I appreciated. Shoutout to Yazid as well for stepping in and resolving an issue I had with one of the drivers. He handled it professionally and made sure everything was corrected. A few areas for improvement: * The initial communication from the WhatsApp coordinator (Zoe) wasn’t fully accurate, especially regarding “painless” equipment and how the process would go. This created some mismatched expectations. * The final cost ended up being higher than originally quoted. * Transportation was mostly smooth, but there were moments of inconsistency—one driver gave pushback about stopping for soup, even though it was part of the service. * Two of the female staff that were performing procedures on me were a bit more aggressive than expected, even after requesting a gentler approach. Overall: DentSpa offers a super clean, professional, and high-service experience with excellent doctors and strong patient support; this could easily be a 5-star operation.

After dealing with an extremely difficult and complex dental situation in the past, I was quite anxious, but the team at Dentspa in Turkey made me feel welcome and supported from the very beginning. Wow..Just Wow!! Are my first words!!! I have had an amazing experience here at DentSpa and I want to tell the world about it! From the hotel transportation to the coffee ladies all the way to the many doctors that I had experienced!!! Fantastically GREAT!!!! I was reluctant and scared and I had all Kinds of reservations. But once Dr. Madina placed her gentle, patient, “Golden Hands” on me…& handed me that mirror! Oh Yeassss! It is all worth it. The only feedback I give you guys is to have your phone team be Transparent and explain that they are not doctors they are phone specialist. There is a possibility of a price increase/Decrease depending on the “THE DOCTORS EXAMINATIONS”!!! Everyone knows that there is a difference between the actual doctor and the receptionist!! The staff and the dental practice is really good. They are very clear and most of the treatment I had was pain free, but I did have implants so some pain and swelling is expected. The only issue I have is that the price quoted is always for the lower end implants or teeth and when you upgrade when here the cost goes up by £2-3000 !! Maybe being more clear and showing the client more options, with each different product. This would 1, help being clear on the cost from the get go. 2, some people do not have the money to spend when at the clinic and would be stuck with the choice of flying home or paying the extra money Other than that so far everything is good !!

Its my second time back and the staff is really great, there was some miscommunication about travel dates so we had to extend our trip. I originally had paid for the malo bridge individual tooth bridge but ended up with a different product, feeling really upset about it didn't really do much. They gave me a written warranty if something happens to these dentures they will replace them in the future for free with the right ones. I was told that if something happens to this denture I will have to come back to Istanbul, instead of like I was originally told all the work could be fixed in my hometown. So miscommunication on a few levels added to frustrations. Do I believe in the treatment and quality of work absolutely, my smile as of today is radiant and I have so much more confidence, I saved money and got lifetime experiences.

Second visit. I cracked one of my bottom veneers and reached out for warranty replacement. The process was super smooth and very quick. Came in got my scans and replacement. Highly recommend! The staff is truly hospitable. They are a great professional clinic. If you're coming from overseas we recommend you consider the following things: 1- try to allow yourself a lot of time. Healing takes time, and even with the recommended timeline the more time you have the better. 2- allow yourself extra budget: because they are going off of pictures you send they can only predict from pictures. The prices are not final. We recommend having a buffer of. An extra 10% My father had great care but we need to recognize Dr. Simay Kocaaga who would not rest until everything was perfect both aesthetically and medically. She came on days she wasn't scheduled just to make sure things are good. We really are thankful for the team and the staff. They are professional and the clinic surpassed our expectations.

I had my dental treatment done at DentSpa in Istanbul traveled from Ireland. The staff were lovely and very skilled at what they do, the VIP transfers were amazing and always on time, and my teeth turned out amazing—couldn’t be happier with the results. Just be aware there were some extra costs on arrival and the treatment isn’t pain-free, but overall a very positive experience.

I heard so many things about traveling abroad for dental work. I was nervous about my safety, the quality of work, the custom differences and language barrier. All of that worrying was put to rest the moment I set foot into the clinic. Omg I can’t say enough good about DentSpa Istanbul. The staff, the doctors, the dental assistants, the constant checking on your comfort… really everything was so much better than I expected.
