During my son's birth, pediatrician Hakkı Kemal Erdinç, who entered the operating room for a check-up, did not notice that one of my son's testicles had not descended during the initial post-birth assessment. This condition was also not detected during a room visit by the same doctor, nor during a routine check-up two days after birth. This finding only emerged today as a result of an examination by another pediatrician. This delay has deeply saddened and worried my family and me.
Furthermore, my son's jaundice (bilirubin) level was only checked on the day of his birth; during a routine check-up two days later, no measurements were taken, and the assessment was simply "looks good." As a result of this lack of follow-up, his jaundice level subsequently increased.
The failure to perform essential examinations and follow-ups during the neonatal period suggests serious negligence in both physical examination and laboratory monitoring. This situation has created an extremely negative experience both in terms of my baby's health and our sense of security as a family.
I request that the necessary investigation be carried out regarding these neglects, that an assessment be initiated against those responsible, and that I be informed of the results.
I respectfully submit this information for your consideration. Translated fromTurkish

I took my three-year-old daughter to them for a routine check-up due to loss of appetite. They ordered a ton of blood tests, including private tests not covered by insurance, and we had them done. At the end of the examination, when I asked for their contact number so we could reach them in case of an emergency, they said they could only give their number to parents with six-month-old babies. Now I ask you, isn't a three-year-old a patient of the same age as a six-month-old child they examined?! The doctor sat there with his legs crossed, completely disrespectful to the patient. Communication was zero; we could only get answers from him with a pair of tweezers. We couldn't even get the results of the tests we had done. Neither he nor his assistant provided any information. He requested a ton of tests just to make money for the hospital from our private health insurance. An indifferent, uncaring, and disrespectful doctor who hasn't learned how to speak to a patient's family, or even a woman in general. Don't go there. Don't entrust your children to him! Our teacher has always solved our problems with pinpoint accuracy. We often enter her office in a panic, but leave calm and knowledgeable; we trust her completely. Thanks to her cheerful demeanor and sympathetic approach, our daughter loves her very much. We are so glad we met our teacher; we were fortunate. Translated fromTurkish

He is certainly a good person and doctor. However, there are hygiene problems. He smells of cigarettes and doesn't wash his hands before or after examining the baby. Perhaps he is more suitable for older children, but we couldn't continue seeing him because we didn't see sufficient care and sensitivity from him regarding the baby. Translated fromTurkish

We happened to meet him this evening while he was on duty. I would like to thank him very much for his approach to children, his positive test result, and for not ordering unnecessary tests after checking a few times to be sure. I hope the number of positive doctors like you increases. Translated fromTurkish

Dr. Kemal has been our doctor for years. Before that, we visited countless doctors and finally found our most reliable one. He is very caring, attentive, very knowledgeable, and makes spot-on diagnoses. We are very fortunate to know him and to have him as our son's doctor. I wish him continued success. This is a pediatrician who, instead of attending to our son who we had taken from the emergency room to his room in a wheelchair, stormed out of the room, grabbing his phone and jacket, after he vomited in the bathroom! We have filed complaints against him with all relevant official institutions. Note: Four days have passed since the incident, and our child is still receiving treatment at another hospital. Dr. Kemal was present at our son's birth. Our son is now 18 months old. Up until this age, we've always gone to Dr. Kemal for his checkups and when he's sick. And we're so glad we did. We will continue to go. He's a very caring and friendly person in every way. He's a doctor who truly does his job well and deserves credit. He treats his patients as if they were his own children. No questions are left unanswered, nothing remains unsaid. Thank you, our son's Uncle Kemal :) Translated fromTurkish
