During the operation, the doctor takes grafts (groups of 1-4 hair follicles) from the donor part of the head and moves them to the balding area. FUE surgery consists of three stages. During the first, a plastic surgeon extracts follicles from the donor area using a special tool called a punch.

The second stage is preparing the scalp for transplantation. Using a scalpel, the doctor makes incisions into which the follicles will be transplanted. The quality and naturalness of the result depend on the experience and skill of the doctor. The density of the canals and the angle of hair growth play a large role.

The main advantage of FUE hair transplantation is that the surgeon does not leave a large scar on the donor area of ​​the head. In the places where the grafts were extracted, small round marks remain, which are completely masked even with a small amount of hair.

The essence of DHI is the use of a special implanter – Choi-pen for the extraction and implantation of follicles. The surgeon does not need to separately open the channels on the recipient area of ​​the skin. Since the follicles are less outside the skin, the risk of root damage is reduced, and the hair takes root better.

The pencils used in hair transplantation using the DHI method are empty inside and have a spring mechanism. This spring mechanism, when pressed, pushes a special needle with a graft into the skin, thereby implanting the graft in the recipient area. These pencils were first developed for thin hair, but over the years they have also received additions for other hair types. The DHI method is one of the most preferred methods of hair transplantation. With this method of hair transplantation, the process is divided into two parts; 1) Collection (extraction), 2) Implantation. Collection is carried out using the classic FUE method, implantation is done with a special pencil. The operation is performed under local anesthesia.
