Prof. Dr. Mustafa Uygar Kalaycı graduated from Selçuk University Faculty of Medicine in 1992. He completed his mandatory service and worked as a general practitioner in the city of Bayburt and the Çumra district (Konya). He completed his specialization in general surgery in 1998 at the 3rd General Surgery Clinic of the Oncology Hospital in Ankara.
After obtaining his specialty, he fulfilled his mandatory service in the Ereğli district (Konya). Between 1999 and 2001, he worked as an assistant professor in the emergency care clinic of the Selçuk University Faculty of Medicine. Later, he worked as a senior assistant at the Bakırköy Dr. Saadi Konuk and Okmeydanı state hospitals.
In 2012, he earned the title of associate professor in general surgery at the Bakırköy Dr. Saadi Konuk Hospital, where he also served as senior assistant and administrative head of the general surgery clinic.
From 2014 to 2019, he worked as an associate professor and clinical and administrative training supervisor at the General Surgery Clinic of Kanuni Sultan Süleyman Hospital.
Since 2017, he has been a faculty member at the Health Sciences University of Turkey (SBÜ), working in the General Surgery Clinic.
