I’ve read a lot of negative reviews regarding the VIP health check-ups, respectfully I can understand everyone’s concerns surrounding the process of the checkup but for me it was a positive one. If you are staying within 10km’s distance from the hospital they offer a free shuttle service to and from the hospital, but as I was a little further I made my own journey there. Upon arrival you are visually pleased with the entrance and lobby area of the hospital, which is spotless and looks more like a mall than a hospital. You will then need to go upstairs to the ‘Check-Ups’ section of the hospital located on the first floor, where your registration will be completed and you will pay the remainder of your balance for the service. Within a few minutes you are asked to come in for the first part of your tests which is the bloods, where you are also given plastic containers for your stool and urine samples which are needed after the Radiology and Ultrasound scans of your internal organs - which are all done within 20/30mins of your blood tests. Alongside this they do a full scan of your dental health. You are then asked to go downstairs for your cardiovascular tests where you are scanned again with an Ultrasound and then your heart is stress tested on a treadmill alongside your blood pressure. You are then referred to a heart specialist who does an Ultrasound scan of your heart again and goes through in some detail the condition of your heart from the stress test results and Ultrasound scan. After going back upstairs and giving your folder back to the Check-Ups reception you are then offered a complementary breakfast/lunch which is a decent menu that has most dietary options. Almost immediately after this, you are then transferred to the ‘Ear, Nose & Throat Ophthalmology’ section of the hospital where they perform an eye test for you and if you need or have glasses they confirm your prescription. After this, you are taken to the Urology department where the Doctor goes through your result's and gives some advice based on this. The final part of the Check-Up was the consultation with the head doctor to discuss all your results in general and they will give you advice on any medication/supplements you should use for any health conditions you may have, if any. Rest assured all the departments of the hospital are within 1 minute walking distance from each other. Overall, I was very satisfied with the detail and speed of the service. The staff were generally professional and polite.

SO NOT WORTH IT! I went for a checkup package with a few add-ons (widely advertised on YT - $4250) and in 3 days spent 70% just WAITING IN LINES. - I still haven't received my neurologist consultation a MONTH+ later and my translator (Sam!) keeps promising one on Zoom and then lying that the doctor is not available, but when I look online, you can book 5+ different times for the next day. I paid for the scan and received it, but have no idea how to interpret the results, so I'll have to pay additionally in my home country for a doc to go through them. - He (Sam) also denied booking me for a dermatologist visit on the 1st day and then on the last day, the gp recommended for me to visit one. He said dermatologists are not available and again, that was a lie- I looked online and could book one for the next day. When I mentioned that, he started YELLING at me in the public waiting space and I had to calm him down.... - You would expect that you would have appointments booked when reserving your package months in advance, right? Of course not! They make you wait in live lines - with 1-4h between appointments, I spent 8am to 5pm on the 1st day and 10am to 5pm the other 2 just waiting and receiving only 1-5 appointments per day. - I didn't receive the promised airport pick-up and the drop-off on my departure day was an hour late, so I waited 40min and ended up getting in a regular taxi. Thank god I did, because I made it to my flight with only 10min to spare. RECOMMENDATION / what I'll do next time, when I'll go for a comprehensive check-up in 5years - BOOK A LEGIT HOSPITAL IN EUROPE (GERMANY OR UK) - you'll save time doing everything in one day without waiting in long lines, won't be shouted at by staff, and pay just about the same price, when you include taxis, flights, and hotels... Thank you for an unforgettably bad experience!

This was my very first time at this hospital, and overall, it’s pretty clean and has a fancy vibe, complete with recorded piano music that makes you feel like you’re in a shopping mall—guess that’s what you get with the high price tag. The receptionists at the front (the ones in red suits) were mostly on their phones, so I didn’t exactly feel welcomed TBH. After I visitied doctor I had to go to radiology, and had to change in a ‘changing room’ that felt more like a storage closet, with stacks of toilet paper and random stuff around and no sleepers even.. But at least the doctors were professional I believe

I would strongly advise anyone considering treatment at Memorial Hospital to think twice. Our experience with this hospital was deeply disappointing and extremely unprofessional. Before we arrived, everything sounded fantastic — we were promised excellent care, organized accommodations, and a smooth experience overall. Unfortunately, once we had flown down there, reality turned out to be entirely different. Promises that had been made to us were suddenly dismissed as “misunderstandings” when we arrived. For example, we were assured that our accommodation was booked, yet upon arrival, we were told no such reservation existed. After a four-hour flight and high expectations based on what we had been told, we were left feeling misled and frustrated. This level of disorganization is unacceptable, especially from a medical institution that people trust with their health and well-being. Being promised one thing only to receive something entirely different is incredibly unprofessional and disrespectful. I strongly recommend that others exercise caution if considering this hospital. Don’t let empty promises lead you into a stressful and disappointing experience as we had.

We went here as international patients for the VIP female checkup with 2 family members. Now I did like the doctors; they answered any questions I had and were very knowledgeable. My main issues were the lack of communication and ambiguous schedule of where we were going. We were often moved to waiting rooms, sat for 30 min, and moved back because they weren’t ready for us. Or separated from family members or our translator and not knowing what’s going on. Mind you, we made these appointments weeks in advance. I understand that it’s a hospital and emergencies happen, but it was ridiculous. And of course when our driver is 30 minutes late to pick us up, it’s no problem for them. But when our driver is 7 minutes early and we’re not quite ready it’s all rush rush rush. When we have to wait in a waiting room for an hour it’s no big deal, but when they have to stay later because we’re waiting for a doctor and don’t want to make another trip here for a short exam, they get pissy. I mean what an attitude. I’m sorry I want to receive the services I paid for? What’s the point of asking an appointment weeks in advance if no one is available. I was definitely annoyed by them trying to skip services we paid for. I understand to some extent that some exams are mainly for older patients, but I would like to receive all the exams I paid for without having to fight for it. And I am a grown adult, so why is my translator talking to my mother about skipping the bone density exam for me because of my age instead of talking to me directly? And did I pay for the under 40 checkup or the VIP checkup? The VIP. Or trying to skip the pap smear because of a lack of sexual activity. I understand it’s different in Turkey, but it’s a cancer test for God’s sake, and if it’s requested it shouldn’t be a fight. Overall it was still less time, money, and energy than if I were to do this kind of checkup in the United States, but my god be prepared to argue for what you need.
