Sleeve Gastrectomy

As with all obesity surgeries, the goal after surgery is to ensure a loss of 80% of excess weight within 9-12 months.

Gastric bypass

This is an operation that limits the volume of the stomach and regulates absorption. This method of surgery is much more commonly used worldwide, as it is considered older and more traditional compared to sleeve gastrectomy. In other words, the patient eats less and gets less benefit from what he eats. The hospital stay and rest period after the operation is the same as with the “Sleeve Gastrectomy” operation, but patients must receive long-term vitamin and mineral support after the operation. “Stomach Balloon”

Gastric balloon placement is a method in which a 600-700 cc balloon is placed inside the stomach to reduce its volume and facilitate patients’ adaptation to a diet. Gastric balloon placement is a non-surgical method, the balloon is inserted and removed endoscopically. The process is performed during sleep (sedation anesthesia) and patients do not feel anything during this process. The balloon remains in the stomach for approximately 8-9 months, and at the end of this process it is removed endoscopically (without surgery).
